LIGHT EMERALD
Campaea margaritata


This attractive pale green moth has a wingspan of anything between 30-40mm. It has a blood-red tip to the forewing, occasionally extending as a line along the outer edge of both fore and hindwings. Its colouring soon fades and becomes yellowish-white. It flies at night in June and July in wooded districts throughout Britain.
