Common Spotted-orchid
Dactylorhiza fuchsii

The Common Spotted-orchid is so-called because it is one of the commonest of the wild orchid species. It is common on roadsides, in hay meadows and grassland that is not too acidic and flowers between June and August. It is very variable in form, colour and also the markings of the flower and the lleaves are nearly always dark-spotted.
