HEATH POND
Originally, this 22 acre pond was marshland and owes its existence to farmers who grazed their animals on there in the 18th Century. The whole area amasses to some 69 acres and is one end of 'The Serpent Trail', a 65 mile walk that takes you through the heath and downland of Hampshire and West Sussex. The pond was frozen when we visited and the model on the pier is my Mum. |
