THE CRAZY 365 BIT...

This is where, as from the 1st May 2010, I shall be taking an image a day.
Not for one second am I expecting this area to contain any masterpieces, it's more of an ongoing project and, in some respects, a bit of photographic discipline

inside out

Wednesday 30th June 2010 - 'Inside Out'

Not what I'd had in mind today, and once again, it was randomly spotted. It's the reflection of our kitchen window in a blue ceramic plant pot.

droplet

Tuesday 29th June 2010 - 'Droplet'

A macro shot of a droplet of water on the side of our kettle. The muted colours are that of our water filter, kitchen surfaces and my tea mug.

ozone killer

Monday 28th June 2010 - 'Ozone Killer'

I was hoping that this would come out better. I knew I would have to have a black background, so that the aerosol spray would show up against it, yet the exposure and shutter speed ended up poles apart. On the one hand I wanted a decent enough f stop to maintain sharpness throughout, yet I needed a fast enough shutter speed to capture the spray as still as I could.

I may have another go at this sometime...

single file

Sunday 27th June 2010 - 'Single File'

Another shot I spotted a few days ago, so decided to take it at 05:00 this morning! I'm absolutely delighted with it and would go as far to say as it's one of my most favourite shots I've ever taken.

the crack

Saturday 26th June 2010 - 'The Crack'

I saw this a couple of days ago and decided it would have to be a 365 shot for today. Taken on the outskirts of Emsworth, Hampshire.

485C

Friday 25th June 2010 - '485C'

A macro shot of my trusty Pantone swatch book.

marigolds

Thursday 24th June 2010 - 'Marigolds'

A macro shot of one of the finger joins on a pair of washing up gloves.

all rather odd

Wednesday 23rd June 2010 - 'All Rather Odd'

Was in two minds whether this shot worked better in colour or monochrome. I chose the latter in the end, for the red brickwork clashed with the green grasses. This is less than a five-minute walk from where we live and I've been meaning to take the shot for quite some time.

boiler room

Tuesday 22nd June 2010 - 'Boiler Room'

Whilst at the company I freelance for, I spotted this. The thing I found very peculiar was how the plug sockets are on a vertical.

angular

Monday 21st June 2010 - 'Angular'

Straight forward shot of a cardboard wine carrier.

feets

Sunday 20th June 2010 - 'Feets'

Not for one minute do I think this is a good photograph, after all, 365 can be interpreted in many ways, today's shot being more of a reportage one of Tanya's feet after her operation.

QA

Saturday 19th June 2010 - 'QA'

QA stands for Queen Alexandra and it's the hospital that Tanya has been in whilst she's been having her bunions removed. This is part of a new annex and is quite iconic in design.

pellucid plastic

Friday 18th June 2010 - 'Pellucid Plastic'

Some plastic cups with a good variety of plastic knives, forks and spoons inside them... I relied on available light and managed this shot.

utenshadows

Thursday 17th June 2010 - 'Utenshadows'

Spotted this shot the other day, although the kitchen utensils weren't quite how I wanted them. After moving them around a little, I managed to capture this shot.

langstone dawn

Wednesday 16th June 2010 - 'Langstone Dawn'

Got up before 05:00 and had an incredibly cold walk down to the shoreline at Warblington to get this shot looking across to Langstone and Hayling Island.

is for keyboard

Tuesday 15th June 2010 - 'Is For Keyboard'

A macro shot of my Apple Wireless Keyboard.

hanger management

Monday 14th June 2010 - 'Hanger Management'

I've been wanting to take this shot for some time. It's of some coat hooks.

allium christophii

Sunday 13th June 2010 - 'Allium christophii'

Allium christophii that's flowering in our garden at the moment.

alien rocket penis

Saturday 12th June 2010 - 'Alien Rocket Penis'

Strangely enough, this shot of some graffiti at the BMX and skateboard park on Hayling Island in Hampshire was my humour, sorry, shot of the day. Would make a great name for an Indie band as well.

globules

Friday 11th June 2010 - 'Globules'

A horrible grotty day, although the raindrops on the washing line inspired me.

a splash of red

Thursday 10th June 2010 - 'A Splash of Red'

Spotted this shot a good few days ago, on my way to where I freelance, but never had time to stop and take it, until this morning.

forever

Wednesday 9th June 2010 - 'Forever'

Westbourne Cemetery, West Sussex. Says everything it needs to.

333

Tuesday 8th June 2010 - '333'

Taken at Stone's Allotments on New Lane in Havant.

handed on a plate

Monday 7th June 2010 - 'Handed on a Plate'

Spotted this shot whilst drying a plastic picnic plate.

non-pollutive

Sunday 6th June 2010 - 'Non-pollutive'

A simple macro shot of some bubbles in a shampoo bottle.

east head spectacle

Saturday 5th June 2010 - 'East Head Spectacle'

Tanya and I set our alarm clock for 03:00 this morning so that we could get down to East Head Point, an area owned by the National Trust in West Wittering, West Sussex, to catch the sunrise.

seaman

Friday 4th June 2010 - 'Seaman'

A shot of a buoy in a boat, yet the choice of the title also highlights the fact that the rope and buoy look like a sperm.

blind crazy

Thursday 3rd June 2010 - 'Blind Crazy'

Flukily spotted this shot whilst having a drink out of an ovoid glass in front of our kitchen blinds.

glassy

Wednesday 2nd June 2010 - 'Glassy'

Incredibly still at Emsworth Harbour this morning. A fisherman commented, "Beautiful morning, isn't it?"
It was.

spiritual lines

Tuesday 1st June 2010 - 'Spiritual Lines'

The ugly St. Alban's Church in Havant.
