The Cass Sculpture Foundation seeks to enhance the general public's enjoyment and appreciation of the strength and quality of twenty-first century British sculpture.
The Foundation's commissioning process creates the opportunity for pre-eminent artists to accelerate their already successful careers by enabling them to realise speculative ideas.
The Cass commissioning process often gives younger sculptors their first opportunity to produce work on a monumental scale. This invariably provides the artist with sufficient confidence to seek out and undertake ambitious commissions elsewhere.
Through a vigorous programme of commissioning, funding and marketing, the Foundation has enabled the fabrication of over 120 interesting new works by British artists.
